Your new companyOur client is a building contractor based in the west. They are involved in various building projects across Munster and Connacht. They are now seeking to recruit a Project Manager and other staff in Limerick. They specialise in commercial, residential and industrial projects.This role would suit an experienced Project Manager who has managed steel frame commercial/retail projects valued over €10M from start to finish. You will have full responsibility for ensuring that sound project management practices are implemented for the successful completion of complex projects. My client offers genuine progression towards Contracts Management in the near future, a competitive salary and an interesting portfolio of work for the right candidate. The RoleCoordinate, monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.Review all documentation and designs, highlighting inconsistencies to reduce the changes required during the construction phase, and suggest value engineering options.Oversee operations on a day-to-day basisManage the project from initial stages to complete hand overDevelop construction programme and schedules to achieve agreed outcomes.Ensure that all work complies with health and safety standards in line with company policies.Work closely with Site Engineers, Foremen, and Director. Responsible for the overall delivery of the projectOversee the internal finishes on site.Experience managing multiple subcontractors at a time.Minimum requirementsDegree in Engineering and/or Construction Management (level 8 minimum)5+ Years of Project Management Experience with a main contractor, in planning, executing, and delivering projects.Experience with steel frame steel commercial/retail projects Proven track record of having successfully managed previous medium to large scale commercial/fitout projectsExperienced from Civils to Project Handover.Solid technical background, with hands-on experience in project deliveryThorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and MS Project, CAD/BIM with excellent IT skills
