Business Application Support Engineer | Experienced Hire

Responsibilities
:Serve as a contact point and collaborate with other infrastructure and software teams to ensure scalability, runtime environment, and stability. Remotely manage and monitor server hosts in multiple colocations across Europe. Maintain and manage the batch scheduling environment and monitoring systems. Manage and prioritise requests from internal IT support functions. Diagnose issues and troubleshoot existing application configurations. Set up and maintain tools that monitor for alerts and test new system changes. Continuously evaluate, improve, and deploy new application versions. Manage project work, including hardware refreshes, environment optimisation, software configurations, change management, and release management.
What we're looking for
Excellent IT analytical and troubleshooting skills, with extensive experience tracing problems through log file analysis and understanding application/systems logic (, routing paths). Experience with or supporting a batch scheduling system is an advantage. Experience with application monitoring and analytical tools such as Splunk and Check_mk. A in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. Knowledge of or a desire to develop networked application systems, including exposure to database environments and Windows (2012, 2019).
