CAD Technician – Hourly Rate – Dublin 8 Your New Company Your new company is a Semi-State body that operates nationally and is responsible for some of Ireland’s key transport infrastructure. They have offices nationwide and are currently going through a sustained period of growth. The Structures Technical Office is undertaking major renewal / maintenance structures projects around the country. Your New Role & Purpose Your new role as a CAD Technician is to join a busy team undertaking crucial renewal and maintenance projects. The main responsibility is to assist in preparing, modifying, and reviewing structural drawings for railway bridges, stations, tunnels, and civil engineering structures using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.Additional duties are to deliver assigned works to the authorised budget, time, quality and scope by:Interpret existing structural drawings, surveys, and inspection reports to support refurbishment, strengthening, and maintenance projects.Develop detailed reinforcement, steelwork, and connection designs for railway structures.Ensure compliance with railway industry standards, Eurocodes, and BS codes.Maintain and organise CAD files, engineering records, and project documentation What You'll Need to Succeed You must have 3 +years of experience in structural drafting or engineering support.You must have proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).You must have a basic knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction methods.Desirable Prior experience in a railway infrastructure firm or construction-related projects What you'll get in return In return for your efforts, you will work for a public sector organisation where you will receive second-to-none learning and development.You will work as part of a fantastic, high-performance team with progression within encouraged and supported. You will work Monday to Friday–36 hours per week.You will mainly be based out of Inchicore, Dublin 8.You will be remunerated on a strong salary. This salary is budgeted up to €53’000 per annum and this is solely based on your experience.You will also have 20 days annual leave and 10 paid Bank Holidays per year.Once a probation period is passed, you will gain access to a public pension and a selection of other strong benefits such as further education incentives/ fare reductions etc. Following a period of time, hybrid work is an option.
