   To work as part of the Leisure Centre Team in ensuring full guest satisfaction and compliance with Health & Safety Regulations. To be fully trained in all elements of the role required.

This role will involve providing fitness advice, gym inductions, and suitable training programmes for all our gym members. You will also support the Leisure Classes and any other associated activities. To service the needs of the business and always maintain the highest standards of operation required.

About McWilliam Park

The McWilliam Park Hotel is a Failte Ireland approved luxurious four-star hotel. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, making it a popular hotel for celebrating special occasions like weddings or to enjoy a romantic break or family getaway.

The hotel boasts 103 comfortable large sized hotel bedrooms, a leisure club (Evolve Health & Fitness) with a fully equipped gym, an indoor heated swimming pool and children’s pool.

 

Responsibilities:

·        To build effective rapport and relationships with our members.

·        To carry out gym inductions, teach exercise classes and any other Health and Fitness related task as instructed by your Leisure Centre Manager.

·        To teach and demonstrate safe and effective exercises and ensure the gym equipment is correctly used.

·        To carry out water quality tests of the swimming pool and Jacuzzi and keep records as instructed by your Leisure Centre Manager with reference to the relevant Normal Operating Procedures (NOP).

·        Implement pool rules and regulations, Lifeguard duties (when certified) and take appropriate action where necessary referring to Normal Operation Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.

·        To be punctual and prepared for all shifts and in uniform provided.

·        To maintain Hotel standards regarding hygiene and presentation of the reception area, swimming pool area, changing areas and gymnasium.

·        To undertake reception duties and administrative duties as required.

·        To assist with any cleaning and tidying duties that may be required in any area of the Leisure Facilities.

·        To read the handover diary and Standard Operating Procedures, NOPs and Emergency Action Plans to keep up to date.

·        To abide by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 (particularly section 13- Duties of Employee) and all Hotel policies regarding Health and Safety.

·        To offer help and assistance to our members, guests, and team members.

·        To portray a positive and professional attitude always.

·        Engage with our members through good interaction and encouragement to ensure the on-going use of our facilities.

·        To ensure all complaints and questions are dealt with promptly with full support of your Leisure Centre Manager.

·        To ensure all dirty towels are removed to the designated area for collection by Laundry.

·        To conduct tours for guests to show the Leisure Centre facilities to their best effect.

·        To carry out any other duties required by your Leisure Centre Manager to meet the demands of the business.
