Monitor and maximise profitability, margin and cash flows of product lines. Responsibility for development, evaluation and implementation of supplier and sourcing strategies. Analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends. Continually assessing product range with key competitors to compare price, quality and value. To ensure the execution of trading initiatives are operationally appropriate and are conducted in a timely and accurate manner. Identify and select new suppliers that meet standards of quality and cost. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure consistent supply of quality products at the lowest possible cost. Ideally you will also have experience of Far East sourcing as well as within the UK/European market.Requirements for this Homeware Buyer job:
Minimum 3 years buying experience. Proven experience consistently delivering on financial targets and driving profitable sales. Strong track record of effectively delivering complex commercial projects. Excellent communication skills – having the ability to deal with all levels within the business and clients. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effect strategic direction. Demonstrate a creative ability with an eye for detail.
