My retail client is seeking a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join their team on a permanent basis, bringing strong technical accounting skills and experience in management accounts, reconciliations, and cashflows.

Responsibilities:

Managing core accounting tasks including posting invoices, processing cash sheets, recording bank payments, and completing weekly bank and creditor reconciliations.Preparing monthly creditor payment runs in line with company schedules.Preparing weekly management reports such as cashflows, gross profit calculations, KPI reports, and other ad-hoc analyses as required.Producing accurate and timely management accounts, leading to the preparation of final annual accounts for external audit.Ensuring the prompt and compliant submission of all statutory tax returns, including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, CSO, and other regulatory filings.Liaising with external auditors on statutory accounts and related matters as required.

Requirements:

Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA) or qualified by relevant industry experience.Strong technical accounting skills with experience in preparing management accounts, reconciliations, and statutory returns.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to produce accurate reports and analyses.Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, liaise with auditors, and work effectively across teams.
