Reperio has partnered with a company that's looking for a .NET contractor with solid experience in Microsoft's latest frameworks to join an API-centric project built entirely in the cloud. The role involves hands-on engineering across distributed services, cloud-native deployment, and modern DevOps workflows. .NET Core 8 and AWS expertise will be a distinct differentiater.

Responsibilities:

Build and support REST-style services using the newest release of C#/.NETOperate within a serverless stack powered by Lambda, API routing, and cloud logging toolsImprove query performance and reliability across a Postgres-based data layerContribute to automated delivery using pipeline tooling in the Azure ecosystemUse declarative templates to manage infrastructure setups (IaC)Follow and apply secure coding principles across identity and secrets accessWrite effective automated tests and maintain mocking where appropriateMaintain service contracts and API definitions with clear technical docsParticipate in collaborative review cycles and agile delivery rituals

Requirements:

Recent hands-on use of .NET 8, C#, and cloud-first API developmentExperience deploying services via AWS Lambda, with logging and monitoring (., CloudWatch, X-Ray)Strong with PostgreSQL, particularly tuning and custom queriesFamiliar with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipeline toolsPractical knowledge of Terraform or equivalent infra-as-code toolingConfident working with IAM policies, secret management, and API hardeningComfortable writing tests using tools like xUnit and MoqAble to maintain OpenAPI specs and thrive in a Git-driven, agile team
