Senior Hardware Test & Validation Engineer 174311 Desired skills: Hardware, Electronics, Testing, Validation, R&D, Limerick Reperio has partnered with a leading Irish technology company that designs and manufactures safety-critical electronics products used globally. As part of their continued investment in R&D, they’re now seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Test & Validation Engineer to support the testing and qualification of complex electronic systems.This is a key role within a growing engineering division - ideal for someone from an electronics engineering background with strong experience in hardware testing, validation planning, and debugging in regulated environments.As a Senior Hardware Test & Validation Engineer, you will take full ownership of test planning, execution, and documentation for both new and existing hardware platforms. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams - including design, firmware, and compliance - to ensure products meet high standards of quality, performance, and safety across a range of wireless and low-power safety devices.Responsibilities:Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test plans for hardware validation across various product linesPerform hands-on testing, fault-finding, and root cause analysis on electronic assembliesDefine test methodologies, fixtures, and custom test setups for prototype and pre-production unitsWork closely with design and embedded teams to influence hardware testability and improve product robustnessSupport regulatory compliance testing (EMC, environmental, functional safety)Drive continuous improvement in validation processes and documentation standardsProvide technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in the test teamRequirements:5+ years' experience in hardware test/validation or electronics developmentDegree in Electronic Engineering or related disciplineStrong understanding of analogue/digital circuit design and debuggingExperience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power supplies, Knowledge of test development for microcontroller-based systemsComfortable working with schematics, layouts, and hardware design documentationBackground in regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace, safety-critical Desirable:Experience with automated hardware testing or LabVIEW/test scriptingExposure to wireless technologies (BLE, Zigbee, RF)Familiarity with environmental and compliance standards (.
