Performance Test Engineer (Backend Focused) - Athlone, €65-€75k

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute performance tests for backend systems. Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize system performance. Create and maintain detailed test plans, test scripts, and test data. Monitor system performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Identify and implement tools and processes to enhance testing efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Performance Test Engineer, with a focus on backend systems. Proficiency in performance testing tools (., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling). Strong understanding of backend architectures, databases, and APIs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of scripting languages (., Python, Shell). Familiarity with monitoring tools (., Grafana, Prometheus).
