Teacher of Physics

Currently, there is one Physics post available within the school and the successful candidate will be expected to teach General Science courses from Primary 5 level to the end of S1 and Physics up to and including Advanced Higher level, as required. This will be a maternity cover, fixed-term contract for the period of three school terms from January - December .

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, committed, appropriately qualified teachers who are registered with the GTCS.

Among the key qualities which we will seek is evidence of:

• expert, dynamic teaching at all levels up to and including Advanced Higher

• the ability to work professionally in a team

• a willingness to learn through continuing professional development

• a commitment to the extra-curricular activities programme of the school

It would also be highly desirable if candidates demonstrated the ability to teach Practical Electronics at National 5 Level.
