Responsible for:

The Homecare Manager will be accountable for planning and implementing initial homecare assessments and care plans with both prospect and existing Homecare Clients. The role is Client and Healthcare Assistant facing which involves driving. You are in the office approximately 30% of your working week. This role is designed to support the client and the team of around 20 Healthcare Assistants who tend to our clients.

 

Location: Travel throughout West Limerick County is essential.

 



Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of both client and healthcare assistant
  •       Responsibility for the overall Healthcare Assistant welfare, supported by HR
  •       Liaise daily with both healthcare Assistants and Client Co-Ordinator's team
  •       Have a clear understanding of HSE and HIQA governance.
  •       Implement best practice supported by CPD practices.
  •       Deliver clinical governance data to support a quality assurance approach.
  •       Complete care plans for clients care and update where necessary
  •       Adapt a direct approach to clients in reference to competency skills assessments with all Healthcare Assistants
  •       Apply a person-centered model of care to all clients
  •       Can prioritize care needs for clients.
  •       Establish a professional working relationship with all members of the primary care teams.
  •       Develop and monitor a value for money approach, enabling the business to grow
  •       Arrange meetings to support Healthcare Assistants supported by actions and outcomes
  •       Promote a positive approach on behalf of CareBright
  •       Be confident in using IT systems
  •       Involvement and support in recruitment and on boarding of new employees
  •       Support Staff, through effective communication, employee appraisal process and identifying and development of talent
  •       Ensuring that there are effective team meetings supported by HR every eight weeks.
  •       Communicating all operating policies and procedures to staff and ensuring compliance
  •       Always maintaining both staff and client confidentiality as per CareBright policies and procedures and legislative requirements
  •       Responsibility for own continuous professional development
  •       Ensure compliance of health and safety and welfare requirements in line with CareBright policies, procedures, and legislation


Essential Requirements

 

  •       Be a registered Nurse with an active pin
  •       Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and be fully proficient in basic IT systems
  •       Essential Experience in Team Management
  •       Must have an Allied Health Care Background or Nursing Qualification
  •       Must have experience in the development and delivery of care needs
  •       Demonstrate strong leadership skills
  •       Organise and willing to expand their skills set if required
  •       Candidates are required to have excellent people skills in addition to the ability to work independently and manage your own time
  •       Experience in Community Homecare desirable
