An established IT solutions provider is seeking an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join their Galway-based team in a permanent, hybrid role. This senior position offers the opportunity to lead infrastructure projects, support critical systems, and mentor junior team members in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

Take technical ownership of customer infrastructure-both remotely and on-site.Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution.Plan, manage, and deliver medium to large-scale IT infrastructure projects.Mentor and guide junior engineers, contributing to internal knowledge sharing.Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders, and vendor partners.Coordinate with third-party service providers as needed.

Requirements:

10+ years' experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering roles.Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server.Expertise in virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).Solid background in networking, firewalls, endpoint security, backup & disaster recovery.Experience with Hybrid IT environments (Cloud + On-Premises).Relevant technical qualification (or equivalent industry experience).Full, clean driver's license (occasional travel may be required).
