Finishing Foreman

Your New CompanyYour new organisation is a main building contractor operating predominantly out of Dublin and with over 15 active projects around the greater Leinster area. Most of these projects consist of high-end residential developments, mainly apartments and consist of 150–1000 units. They work closely with local authorities and large-scale developers as appointed contractors. They also operate in the data centre and high-end commercial space. They are renowned as one of the best contractors in the industry due to their quality and best practice culture. They have a pipeline of work for the next 5+ years due to their ongoing residential and data centre presence.They are in a period of constant expansion, and require several finishing supervisors/managers across several of their build projects.Your New RoleYour new role is a 500-unit residential and mixed-use development in Tallaght. It consists of 5 blocks with underground parking and surrounding facilities and its contract value is €120m.This position can either be paid on an hourly basis or on a direct salary - See details below.This position is for an ambitious, experienced carpenter or similar, looking to progress in their career. It would also suit an established foreman looking for a change to work on behalf of a leading building contractor.You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.You will be supported in your role by other management members within the organisation, and there will be several supervisors/managers on this project due to the size and scale. Career progression is very much available. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established main contractor with a pipeline of works for the next several years.What You'll Need to SucceedIn order to be successful in this position, you must have previously been in a management position with a construction contractor. This can be as a lead carpenter or working foreman, for example.Experience on projects larger than one-off housing is important due to the scale of contracts you'll be working on. You must have prior management experience on site of subcontractors for internal or finishing works.Coming from a carpentry trade background is advantageous but not essential.This role will suit a long-time carpenter / working foreman or someone experienced in a Foreman / Finishing position over the last number of years.What You'll Get in ReturnIn return for the above, you will work for a main construction contractor who values their employees and offers a clear progression path to more senior management levels. They have a great reputation within the industry and have very strong senior management in place - delivering high-profile projects.You will be paid either by the hour or on a salary.If in a permanent capacity, this role would pay between €70,000 to €80,000. This would come with a vehicle or travel allowance, and a fuel card and toll tag. There would be a pension contribution of over 5%, a performance bonus paid at Christmas and other perks and benefits expected of a tier one. On the hourly paid side, these rates are in a bracket of €30 to €40 per hour. This would also include time and a half etc. €80,000-€100,000 on hourly rates for time worked per year.(typically 45-50 hour weeks - good money to be made).
