We are seeking a qualified actuary with extensive experience in non-life, risk, and capital modelling to join a reputable financial and actuarial firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will join a high-performing actuarial team supporting the development, delivery, and maintenance of the Solvency II Internal Capital Model and broader capital management processes. This role is critical for regulatory compliance, business planning, and strategic decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading detailed actuarial and capital modelling tasks, ensuring analysis aligns with Solvency II standards.
  • Producing, analysing, and communicating key results for risk categories, including preparing management briefings.
  • Validating data inputs, assumptions, and outputs during model runs to ensure governance and reliability.
  • Supporting model enhancements through expert judgment, parameter updates, and recalibrations, and contributing to methodology development.
  • Collaborating with finance, risk, reinsurance, and investment teams on initiatives like SCR monitoring, portfolio transfers, and regulatory reporting (ORSA, SFCR, QRTs).

This role suits a qualified actuary with several years of experience in non-life, risk, and capital modelling.

  • Deliver high-impact analysis to support risk and business decisions in line with Solvency II requirements.
  • Work across teams to support projects and strengthen integration.
  • Ensure data integrity and model reliability for compliance and governance.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives including regulatory reporting, reinsurance renewals, and SCR monitoring.
