The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Gastroenterology) role is a key part of the healthcare team, working to provide high-quality patient care and improve health outcomes. The role is based on five core concepts: Clinical Focus, Patient/Client Advocate, Education and Training, Audit and Research, and Consultant.

Key Responsibilities include:
Providing specialist nursing services for patients with Gastroenterology conditions
Undertaking comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized care plans
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service planning and budgetary processes
Participating in audit and research projects to improve patient care and services
Providing leadership and expertise in clinical practice and education

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with experience in Gastroenterology nursing and a strong understanding of the latest evidence-based practices. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
