The Hodson Bay Hotel is seeking a skilled Switchboard Operator to join our Front Office Team.

This role requires an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing a warm welcome and efficient service to all guests calling the hotel
  • Answering calls in a timely and friendly manner
  • Transferring calls as necessary
  • Assisting guests with information about the hotel and local amenities
  • Working closely with the Reception Team to provide exceptional guest service
  • Following established procedures for handling guest queries

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a switchboard or reception environment (desirable)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends
  • An exceptional telephone manner
