We are a fast-growing IT services company based in Central London, providing innovative networking solutions to a diverse range of clients.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Junior Network Engineer / Network Technician to join our technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for networking and IT infrastructure who is eager to develop hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Role OverviewAs a Junior Network Engineer, you will assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving network infrastructure.
You will work closely with senior engineers to support network operations, resolve connectivity issues, and gain exposure to cutting-edge networking technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issuesSupporting LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks across different environmentsDiagnosing and resolving network faults, escalating complex issues when necessaryAssisting with network security configurations, including firewalls and VPNsPerforming routine maintenance, updates, and system checksDocumenting network setups, troubleshooting steps, and IT proceduresSupporting network expansion projects and system upgradesAssisting end-users with connectivity issues and providing technical supportWho We Are Looking ForA diploma or degree in Computer Networking, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs)Familiarity with networking hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, or HP switches and routersStrong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solvingKnowledge of network security principles and best practices is an advantageProficiency in Microsoft Windows and Linux networking environments is a plusExcellent communication skills and ability to work well in a teamA willingness to learn and work towards industry certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.
