The hospital is a voluntary, charitable organisation.
Services are provided on a not-for- profit basis Purpose of the Post The Post Holder will work throughout the campus of the Royal Hospital Donnybrook.
The purpose of the post is to assist with the preparation and service of meals and beverages in the hospital at the required time in accordance with the hospital, food safety, hygiene and statutory standards.
To ensure that the areas related to the catering department (Ward pantry, dining rooms etc.)
are always kept thoroughly clean.
Household staff are required to work throughout the hospital and on various wards as per the service need.
Essential Criteria - Have completed second level education to Junior Certificate standard (level 3 on the Quality and Qualifications Ireland Framework and have obtained a minimum of six passes in the Junior Certificate Examination Ordinary Level or Higher Level including Mathematics and English (or equivalent qualification Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
A QQI Level 2 Certificate in HACCP and working knowledge of basic food hygiene (HACCP).
A copy of the candidates current and valid QQI level 2 HACCP certificate must be attached along with the CV for eligibility.
Have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a catering environment in the healthcare or hospitality sector Full job description available on request.
