The successful candidate will be part of a Nurse-led care team providing clinical care in a home setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Paediatric care and be able to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts.Responsibilities include...Provide nursing care to a childGastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pumpCompetent in all tracheostomy care, changing of ties, suctioning and changing tube in an emergency situationManagement and administration of nebs and suctioningMonitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distressPressure area careMedication ManagementSeizure managementCare of a child with a disabilityManage enteral feeding and medicationAssist with activities of daily living (ADLs)Manage seizuresProvide play and family supportProvide excellent evidence-based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client's interests at all timesWork closely in partnership with family members and the clinical teamCommunicate effectively with the client, family, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on the client's clinical needs as required.Maintain accurate and professional clinical noteQualitiesDemonstrate commitment and competence in the care and welfare of clientsPromote the recognition of the child as an individualDemonstrate kindness, compassion, dignity, and respectQualifications & ExperienceCurrent registration on the live register of NMBIRGN/RCN trainedPaediatric nursing experience is desirablePrevious experience in home care is an advantage, full training and support providedBenefits:Monday - Saturday €30 per hourSunday €45 per hourBank Holidays €60 per hourFlexible working hoursSupportive team environmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From € €60.00 per hourWork Location: In person
