Objective:
The principal objective of the post is to participate in the development, direction, teaching, facilitation and examinations of the undergraduate teaching programme.

This appointment is available for a period of one year initially, renewable to a maximum of two further years subject to satisfactory performance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Contributing to the clinical teaching programme in the senior cycle programmes Contributing to the assessment of students in senior cycles programmes, including development, delivery and evaluation of course content Liaising with heads of department, project leaders for clinical competence and other relevant faculty members in planning, delivering and evaluating teaching programmes Providing resources and communication with student groups via the RCSI virtual learning environment Delivering the curriculum at various sites e.g.
assigned hospitals, RCSI Campus Assisting in drafting exam questions under the direct supervision of the Head of the department and Professors Coordinating exam standard setting Assisting in the creation of multimedia teaching content e.g.
Videos; podcasts etc Grading and recording of student coursework e.g.
logbook and online quizzes Assisting with student exams Candidate Specification: Essential: Possess evidence of registration with the Irish Medical Council Possess a keen interest in lecturing and interacting with undergraduate students Possess excellent communication skills Desirable: Previous experience using E-learning/VLE systems Previous experience of teaching and assessing students in an academic environment Previous experience in research Completed at least 4 years of clinical experience post-internship MPsychI or equivalent Application Process:

Successful candidates will be required to complete:
Occupational Health Clearance Garda Vetting Police Clearance (if in residence outside of Ireland for periods of 6 months or more at any stage)
Garda Vetting and Occupational Health checks will be conducted by RCSI and partners, but Police Clearance certification from countries outside of Ireland will be the responsibility of the successful candidate.
