Key job responsibilitiesWe are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented senior-level full-stack software engineer with a track record of successfully delivering new features and products, solving hard problems, and learning new technologies quickly.
Your job will be to work with a team of engineers across iOS, Android, Web visual client platforms and product managers to solve new problems in new ways.
The problem space expects leveraging new technologies to innovate and simplify the client architectures, driving cloud-based solutions, and building REST/GraphQL-based microservices.
You'll also be coaching other engineers, developing engineering and operational processes, and encouraging excellence within the team.

Responsibilities:Lead definition, architecture, and design of software components, solution designs, tools, and testsMentor and coach other engineers on the team, encouraging engineering excellenceHelp to define and push for the best possible end-user experienceContribute to team discussions around solution and component design as well as process improvementDesign, develop, and maintain high-quality, high-performance, maintainable codeWork in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in prioritization, estimation, and sprint planning About the teamThe Amazon Music Spoken Word team powers the Podcast and Audiobooks experience across all Amazon Music platforms.
Our mission is to create the industry's best discovery experience by delivering personalized content recommendations, building intuitive interfaces for browsing and discovery, and presenting content and metadata clearly across mobile, web, wearables, and TV platforms.
We aim to perfect the listening experience through seamless bookmarking and progress tracking, easy content downloads and library management, and frictionless playback across all devices.
We relentlessly focus on removing barriers between our customers and their favorite spoken word content while innovating to create the most engaging listening experience possible.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
