Contract Type: Full-time Permanent, 39hr week (Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm)
Position Location: The primary base for the position will be in our HQ at Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, Co Wicklow (relocating to Kilpedder, Co. Wicklow in 2 to 4 years).
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
Primary Purpose of this Role: Support the Financial Controller and wider Finance team with the month end process including preparation of Management AccountsProcessing all financial transactions relating to our on-site shopAssist with the analysis of monthly P&L activity including splitting of costs across branchesReview and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including prepayments, accruals and control accountsManagement of fixed asset registerAssist with the development of Internal Controls & process improvementAssist with internal and external audit engagementsTo contribute to the overall strategic planning of Festina LenteImpact of this Role:The Assistant Accountant will be instrumental in Festina Lente with regards to;
Financial implementation of the Festina Lente Strategic Plan.Skills and QualificationEducation: ATI qualified essential or part Qualified ACCA (or equivalent) and actively pursuing qualification,Experience:Proven experience in a similar accounting role,Working knowledge of accounts package – preferably SAGE,Proven competency in IT – minimum ECDL or equivalent,Strong excel & analysis skills,Strong mathematical skills and dynamic problem solving skills.Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,Proven ability to work on own initiative within a flexible, co-operative team structureAn ability to maintain calm and composed in a busy and demanding environment,Willingness to learn and an openness to alternative approaches,Self-motivated and deadline driven with excellent attention to detail,Solution focused.Work Authorisation: Ireland, requiredBenefits of Employment: Compensation: Salary will be reflective of experience and qualifications
