The Opportunity The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for the automated testing approach for our product suite.
You will be responsible for developing an overarching testing approach for web application and web services.
This will have an emphasis on automated testing frameworks that can be administered by both QA and Software Engineers.
What You Will Do: Defining and implementing the testing (automated and manual where required) strategy for the productCreating test approaches with the Scrum teamsCreating and executing test cases across functional, regression and end-to-end testingAutomation framework design and implementation according to project structureDefining and overseeing the defect management processIdentifies risk, writes test plans where appropriate, and performs testing on tasks needed to be completed within the timelines of a defined sprintEnsures conformance to the SDLCAnalyze the project documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of the requirements including, but not limited to, business and technical requirements, functional specifications, integration points and use casesConvey requirements into easy to understand test scenarios and test plansAnalyze business requirements and identify possible gaps, and missing scenariosPlans, organizes and schedules project deliverablesWho You Are: Demonstrate 8+ years of experience in testing complex web and backend applicationsExperience developing and executing manual and automated testsExperience in testing Java applications preferredGood understanding of monitoring logs to triage issuesTools/Frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Jenkins, CI/CDAbility to embed Continuous Improvement within the Scrum teamsStrong verbal and written communication skillsA degree in Computer Science, or a related subject is beneficialWorking at FlywheelWe are proud to offer all Flywheelers a competitive rewards package and unparalleled career growth opportunities and a supportive, fun and engaging culture.

We will be looking for company and values-fit as well as your professional experience; there may be some technical role-specific questions during this call.
Every role is different after the initial call, but you can expect to meet several people from the team 1:1 and there might be further skill assessments in the form of a Take Home Assignment/Case Study Presentation or Pair Programming/Live Coding exercise depending on the role.
In your initial call, we will walk you through exactly what to expect the process to be.
