Facilities and Health & Safety Supervisor- North Dublin Reed is assisting a client we have recruited for in the past once again in their search for a Facilities and Health & Safety Supervisor.
Benefits offered: Contributory Pension |23 days holiday + Bank Holidays | Flexible Start times if required Facilities Management: Supervise the maintenance and functionality of all company facilities, ensuring buildings, equipment, and systems are in good working order.Coordinate and oversee building repairs, renovations, and general maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for facility-related services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and utilities.Monitor and manage the company's facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services.Ensure that all facilities are clean, well-maintained, and compliant with all relevant regulations.Conduct regular inspections to identify any areas requiring maintenance or improvement and take appropriate action.Produce annual budget for facilities, reporting spend updates regularly toFD and MD.Develop reporting tools to identify and track all Facility/ maintenance issues.Health & Safety (H&S) Compliance: Develop, implement, and manage the company's health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practiseConduct regular health and safety risk assessments and audits across ourSite to identify hazards and implement corrective measuresEnsure all employees receive proper health and safety training and are aware of their responsibilities regarding workplace safetyInvestigate and report on any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrenceMaintain accurate health and safety records, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training documentationEnsure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment across all sitesDevelop reporting tools to identify and track all H&S issuesEmergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and drills, fire safety protocols, and first aid provisionsWork with Executive Management Team on the creation, management and continuous updating on a "Disaster Recovery Plan"Ensure all emergency systems, such as fire alarms, extinguishers, and exit routes, are regularly inspected and maintained in working conditionTeam Leadership: Work with department managers to create an escalation and reporting process, providing guidance, and trainingFoster a culture of safety awareness and compliance among all employees and contractorsWork closely with other departments, such as HR and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of safety and facility-related proceduresWork closely and collaborate with the H&S, Facilities stakeholders in the other business units - sharing policies, frameworks and practicesQualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
3+ years of experience in facilities management and/or health & safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
