The Manager of Network Contracting is responsible for contracting and provider relationship management activities within OptumRx in support of an assigned group of pharmacy providers.
This role will work to develop and maintain positive relationships with pharmacy partners that yield results and drive client satisfaction and will play an active role by managing contractual obligations and compliance, contract negotiations, operational needs and relationship needs.
Primary Responsibilities of the Manager Network Contracting: Lead and assist with contractual negotiationsDevelop and execute on provider strategy developmentMaintain an ongoing knowledge of provider's business as well as their contract with OptumRxProvide positive alternatives to complex situations encountered by providers and manage expectationsEscalate provider concerns internally and to help solve complex issuesCommunicate effectively with providers via face-to-face meetings, conference calls and written correspondenceManage contractual obligations including but not limited to contract complianceBe a self-starter, produce quality work, excellent attention to detail, make decisions, and deliver on commitmentsRequired Qualifications of the Manager Network Contracting: Extensive contract management experienceStrong negotiation experience and relationship management skillsExperience with pharmacy or healthcare claimsExperience of financial analysis and/or modeling experienceIntermediate level of proficiency with MS Word and ExcelPreferred Qualifications of the Manager Network Contracting: Extensive knowledge of provider relations and/or network management experienceUndergraduate degreeStrategic thinker and/or project management skillsAll telecommuters will be required to adhere to the UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.
