Job Description Join our fabulous team at The Plaza Hotel as Kitchen Porter.
The  Kitchen Porter  is an important position working closely with the Head Chef & Kitchen Team.
About The Plaza Hotel Welcome to The Plaza Hotel Dublin with 122 well-appointed ensuite bedrooms, state of the art conference facilities & excellent cuisine.
Over the last 2 years, the entire interior of the 4-star hotel has been extensively refurbished, now comprising of exciting new eateries.
The hotel now offers 122 spacious, comfortable and ensuite bedrooms along with a number of large suites. Two large and naturally lit event spaces, together with 4 meeting suites allow for conferences and events of all sizes, ranging from 5-200 people.  Role Responsibilities Responsible for being part of the kitchen and food service team within the Hotel, providing cleanliness of the highest standards and ensuring all health and safety standards are kept, along with basic food preparation.
Reports to: Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie & Commis Chef.
 Kitchen Porter Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• To assist the catering/catering team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in accordance with Food Hygiene Legislation
• Have responsibility for all cleaning duties within the food operation and also manage returns from the food outlets
• Follow a cleaning schedule and carry out tasks as directed by Senior Chefs
• Work to an agreed standard of hygiene practice as contained in the Kitchen HACCP manual
• To put all deliveries away and to ensure that they are transported to the appropriate storage area
• Operate equipment safely and to ensure it is in good working order
•  Maintain all storage areas with regard to temperature, ventilation and cleanliness.

•  Help ensure that all food items are stored under the correct conditions according to food type   Key requirements for the role:
•  Flexibility with working hours is essential within this role
•  Reliable, hardworking and have the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen alongside a friendly efficient team
•  Good clean personal presentation is paramount
•  Self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise work
•  Ability to work on own initiative
•  Have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
