Following on from a number of exciting major project awards, our Transmission & Distribution division is expanding and we're seeking an experienced HV Transmission Cables Engineer to join our dynamic team.
As an integral part of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring reliable energy delivery for our clients.
From underground interconnectors to offshore wind farms, your expertise will shape the backbone of our energy infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing – Key Responsibilities: HVAC/HVDC Cable System Design: Dive into all aspects of transmission cable system design, from conceptualization to implementation for Onshore and Offshore projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HV cables into substations, converter stations, and grid networks.Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for transmission cable system projects.Front End Engineering Design (FEED): Deliver innovative solutions for cable systems integration into major infrastructural development projects.Consenting Stage Cable System design, leading the interface with our civil and environmental teams.Tender Stage Design/Detail Design for Transmission cable systems.Troubleshoot and resolve transmission cable-related issues during installation and operation/maintenance phases.Stay abreast of technological advancements in HV cable materials, insulation, and transmission technologies.Candidate Specification: Essential: Degree in Electrical EngineeringExperienced transmission cable systems engineerStrong analytical skills and able to solve complex engineering problemsGood written communication skills including report writingExcellent communication and people skillsDesirable: Masters in Electrical EngineeringExperience in design of both onshore and offshore transmission cable systemsExperience in design of HV cable transmission systems for UK and Ireland utilitiesExperience in design of HVAC and HVDC transmission cable systemsIf this resonates, let's explore how your expertise fits our team.
