Supervising Pharmacist Job Description

The position of Supervising Pharmacist is a key role within our client's organization in Cork.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  1. To manage the dispensary operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements and pharmacy guidelines.
  2. To exercise professional judgment and expertise in accordance with the Irish Pharmaceutical Society's codes of practice and ethics.
  3. To provide exceptional patient care through efficient and safe dispensing services.
  4. To oversee the delivery of medications to customers, guaranteeing their safety and efficacy.
  5. To collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  6. Proactively manage monthly submissions to payment boards and address any rejected claims in a timely manner.
  7. To foster strong relationships with local medical practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Pursue business growth opportunities by establishing connections with nursing homes and other relevant institutions.
  9. To assume additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Key Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified pharmacist.
  2. Holding a PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification and registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
  3. The ability to handle high-volume dispensing tasks with ease.
