Site Inspector (Public Sector)

We are working with a large public body to recruit an experienced Site Inspector to support the delivery of a major public infrastructure programme in South Dublin. This is a key role overseeing construction quality and ensuring compliance with design standards during one of Ireland's most important capital programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure construction works are completed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and healthcare building standards (HTMs/HBNs).
  • Oversee quality assurance and compliance of materials, workmanship, and installations on behalf of the client.
  • Attend and observe system and site acceptance testing.
  • Record progress on-site, maintain detailed inspection logs, and flag non-conformance issues.
  • Interface with the Employer's Representative, contractors, and design teams to support timely, quality delivery.
  • Monitor contractor performance and identify factors affecting programme progress or cost implications.
  • Engage with third-party stakeholders including local authorities and public agencies as required.
  • Promote value for money and adherence to quality standards throughout construction delivery.
Requirements:

Option 1: A third-level or postgraduate qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Facilities Management or similar, plus 5+ years' relevant experience in a comparable role.

OR Option 2: 10+ years' experience in a technical services management environment with construction oversight responsibilities, proven track record in construction quality oversight and client-side inspections, and strong working knowledge of large-scale infrastructure or similar complex, regulated environments.
