This role focuses on providing high-quality care and early education for children.
As part of a supportive, professional team, youll play an essential role in creating a safe, nurturing environment where each child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities Care and Supervision: Provide attentive, nurturing care to children, meeting their daily needs in a safe, warm, and inclusive environment.
Developmental Support: Facilitate age-appropriate developmental activities to encourage physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Routine Management: Oversee daily routines, including feeding, naptime, and hygiene, ensuring each childs needs are met efficiently and with sensitivity.
Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized space, following all hygiene and safety standards.
Communication: Collaborate with fellow staff and communicate effectively with parents, updating them on their childs daily progress and any significant milestones.
Record-Keeping: Keep detailed records of each childs development, activities, and any incidents, following Jumping Joans' guidelines.
Team Support: Work with the team to plan and implement engaging activities, fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience Education: Must hold a Level 5 FETAC qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent).
Experience: Ideally, 2+ years of experience working with young children, particularly in a childcare or nursery setting.
Skills: Strong understanding of child development, particularly for children aged 1-2 years.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and caring demeanor.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow care plans.
