As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Amazon Aurora is an exciting area of innovation for AWS, and the PostgreSQL-compatible edition of Amazon Aurora is built on top of one of the most active open source communities, PostgreSQL.
The PostgreSQL-compatible version of Amazon Aurora is a relational database which offers enterprise-class performance, availability and durability to our customers, along with the management benefits of RDS.
Amazon Aurora is one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon Web Services.
Aurora Limitless Database takes the conventional Amazon Aurora further for scalability and high write throughput.
Current data generation and data processing requires a database that can scale virtually to any limits and give a high write throughput.
Limitless database exactly covers this aspect of the organization's needs with the obvious benefit of pay-what-you-use model.

Amazon Aurora team is looking for an engineer to work and collaborate with other engineers, database engineers (DBEs), stakeholders and build the high quality distributed databases for cloud.
An ideal candidate for this position will be an engineer who has extensive experience working on distributed systems, experience with low level networking and communication solutions, or experience with distributed databases.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 4+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience, C or C++ preferred
- 1+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 1+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience in designing and implementing high available components in distributed system
- Experience in designing and implementing network communication protocols
