Program Manager, NPD Location: Stryker Anngrove, Carrigtwohill, Cork Hybrid working model (3 days on site) Role Summary: Program managers are capable of bringing products to market that require the work of multiple, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
These products can be applied to various phases of surgery (pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative), though they are most often targeted at a single phase rather than multiple.
In this role, program managers often coordinate with multiple project managers-each managing a workstream as its own project-to ensure effective planning and execution.
Their primary focus is on managing delivery risks and program dependency risks rather than technical risks.
Who we want: This is role resides in the Foot & Ankle R&D PMO with primary responsibility in leading New Product Development (NPD).
The expectation is to lead new projects from feasibility to deployment with a strong emphasis on predictability and time to market (TTM).
Program Managers lead multiple projects and the people running them-they can deliver a program, or a portfolio of projects.
They m ay lead a large, strategically critical project or projects to ensure timelines and goals are met/communicated appropriately.
Program managers are capable of leading multi-disciplinary programs to bring systems to market.
Program managers are expected to drive PMO process development (i.e.
resource management, stakeholder management, project/program and portfolio governance, etc.).
Audit PMO deliverables to ensure baseline quality standards are maintained.
Mentor junior Project Managers to help grow the PMO organization.
What you will do: Collaborate with BU leadership to define, manage and own program scope.
Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
Develop and manage the detailed program Gantt chart.
Analyze critical path, major workstreams, and intersecting milestones.
Own the program schedule.
Create program budget with cross-functional managers and directors.
Optimize, monitor, and maintain costs within budget.
Partner with project teams to create program Quality Plans using a multitude of quality planning tools and techniques.
Monitor and maintain plans.
Develop a risk management plan for the program.
Identify, analyze, and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.
Develop a Procurement Management Plan and be a strategic partner in the selection of procurement partners.
Estimate, acquire and assign cross functional program resources.
Develop a Stakeholder engagement plan for the program, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations and requirements.
Develop and Execute communications management plan for program team, key stakeholders, and business leaders.
Builds successful working relationships with internal and external personnel in various departments.
Understands quality system(s).
Incorporates end-user feedback to refine scope through the project lifecycle and can communicate changes, updates, and decisions to key stakeholders Can understand and communicate how goals fit into broader organizational goals and prioritize tasks/schedule accordingly.
Required Qualifications BS or equivalent (MS and/or MBA preferred) and 8+ years of work experience 8+ years of work experience required; 5+ years of project management experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired): B.S.
in a scientific or engineering field preferred; business, finance or IS field will be considered in conjunction with experience required.
8+ years of work experience required; 5+ years of project management experience preferred.
Proventrack-record: experiencesuccessfullycompletingmultiple projects delivering products or solutions as a project manager.
Experienceworking in a regulated environment Proficientin Microsoft Project with experience creating and regularly maintaining project timelines.
