We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Hospitality Food and Safety Compliance Officer to join our team.
This vital role will ensure that our food safety practices comply with industry regulations and maintain the highest level of quality and safety for our customers.
Job Overview: As the Hospitality Food and Safety Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and health and safety policies are followed across all areas of our establishment.
You will conduct regular audits, training, and inspections to maintain compliance with legal and industry standards, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections of food handling, storage, and preparation areas to ensure compliance with food safety laws and regulations.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of food safety management systems (e.g., HACCP).
Monitor temperature controls, sanitation procedures, and staff hygiene practices.
Provide ongoing training to staff on food safety, hygiene protocols, and compliance requirements.
Prepare reports on inspections, audits, and compliance status, and suggest corrective actions where necessary.
Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality and safe food.
Stay up-to-date with changing food safety regulations and industry trends to ensure continuous compliance.
Act as the main point of contact for food safety authorities and handle inspections or audits.
Support the development and execution of emergency procedures, including food recalls, health inspections, and safety incidents.
Ensure that all staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge to uphold food safety standards.
Requirements: Proven experience in food safety and compliance within the hospitality or food service industry.
Knowledge of local and national food safety regulations and standards (e.g., Food Safety Act, HACCP, guidelines).
Certification in Food Safety Management (Level 3 or higher) is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
Excellent communication and training skills to ensure team compliance and understanding.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Good understanding of hygiene standards, risk assessments, and safety protocols.
Proactive, organized, and a problem-solving mindset.
