This position carries an hourly rate of €14.46 per hour Monday - Friday, working 39 hours per week.
The successful candidate must have immediate and full availability.
Job Purpose: As a Catering Assistant you will be responsible for: Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages to customers.
Ensuring that the kitchen, service and seating areas are clean and tidy.
Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed The Catering Assistant reports to the Catering Manager.
The suitable candiate will require Garda vetting and FPC if neccesary.
Catering Assistant Responsibilities: Assist with the basic food hygiene preparation tasks, including the preparation of snacks, sandwiches etc, as required.
Assist with the storage and distribution of kitchen Prepare counter area and assist with counter Make and serve beverages as Operate the cash Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the area he/she may be assigned to from time to Ensure that the service to trainees, staff and visitors is of the highest Collect dishes and wash Clean the kitchen, including washing kitchen appliances, equipment, work surfaces, floors and Ensure all cleaning materials are used Set up dining and buffet areas as per the catering manager's Implement Health, safety and Welfare policies in the workplace and be aware of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 as amended.
Assist with special events/functions.
Attend training courses as Maintain a good standard of personal Any other duties relevant to the post as may be allocated by the Catering Manager Qualifications: Preferable Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
Valid HACCP Qualification.
Experience: Preferable 6 months relevant work experience.
Preferable knowledge of Food Hygiene Job Specific Competencies and Knowledge Observes all infection control policies for proper food handling, storage, hand washing, glove wearing, uniform and grooming.
Works as team player to meet goals and department demands.
Exhibits high level of customer & patient relation skills.
Exhibits ability to work as member of team in daily performance of duties..
Knowledge of all standard procedures for food preparation, goods in, storage and hygiene.
