What's in it for you?Competitive base payAdditional annual leaveEmployee Assistance ProgrammeIncentives and reward packagesFree shoesCycle to Work schemeService anniversary rewardsKey responsibilitiesAssist the store manager in overseeing all daily activities while ensuring compliance with all company policies and guidelinesIn accordance with the Store Manager's instructions, Assistant Managers are responsible for mentoring and overseeing the store's employeesWhen the store manager is not present, you should assume full responsibility for all store operationsHelp the store manager in all aspects of daily operations, including merchandising, customer service, and human resourcesArrange and report on daily operationsAssist store manager with hiring, training, and managing workersSchedule staff, evaluate their performance, and impose disciplinary measuresMaintain appropriate shop inventory levels by monitoringAssist in the creation of recruitment and sales strategiesReview, comprehend, and effectively communicate daily, weekly, and monthly goals to meet and exceed metric-based goals.
Able to explain business trends to upper management clearlyEnsure that health and safety laws are followed in the storeKeep your store neat, orderly, and aesthetically pleasingAddress consumer issues and complaints in a timely and efficient mannerRegularly support clients and offer troubleshooting know-how when requiredRespond to emails and other correspondence about the store and take callsOwn your store's sales targets and lend your experience to help you reach themCarry out additional tasks as directed by upper management when neededThe ideal candidateExperience leading, motivating, and training teamsStrong leadership and people management skillsGood communication and organizing skillsAble to work a flexible scheduleStrong leadership and decision-making skillsAn outstanding candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform and cover all work floor activities, including reaching aloft, bending, squatting, kneeling, and carrying goods
