We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Delivery Lead to interface with our software engineering community and AI/ML engineers.
This person will provide the hosting platform for internally developed software solutions and AI/ML models.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in OpenShift and cloud solutions, alongside proven leadership skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with software engineering and AI/ML teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions and AI/ML models.Architect, deploy and manage OpenShift containerization platform.Provide services to software engineers to enable rapid deployment of applications including certificate management, DNS, etc.Lead the implementation of observability, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevOps practices.Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and innovation within the team.Mentor and guide team members to achieve their full potential.Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of hosting platforms.Work with our Engineering Enablement team to define and manage the software engineering toolsets and platforms such as GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Cloudsmith, Artifactory, Jenkins, etc.System Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor system performance and availability, responding to incidents and proactively addressing potential issues before they impact users.Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.Implement and enforce security best practices across the development and deployment environments.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role with 2 years in a managerial role.Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).Extensive experience designing, implementing and managing cloud solutions in AWS, Azure or GCP.Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.Strong knowledge of observability, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevOps practices.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and supporting software engineers in their usage.Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Artifactory is highly desirable.Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, DataDog, New Relic).#LI-BF1
