Summary This opening is for an Operations Support Senior Manager position within the Verizon Global Services group.
This role will support multiple cross-functional partner groups including Global Sourcing, Global Logistics, and Business Intelligence.
What you'll be doing... Review sourcing projects to ensure submission is complete, accurate, compliant with Verizon Sourcing guidelines.Work with partners in Sourcing, Business Transformation, and Finance to ensure project savings are accurate and attainable.Produce recurring savings reports on active projects and distribute them to senior leadership.Work with business partners to create and communicate savings actuals to budget, forecasts, and quarterly outlooks.Ongoing project audit and data reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of reports and analysis.Support partner teams in identifying savings opportunities and developing projects.Design and implement process improvements and submission standards.Provide ongoing support and training to sourcing and partner teams on project requirements and submission process.Manage requests from external partners for project status and savings data.Support Global Supply Chain operations in Capital Budget management and distribution of funding for operational projects.Work closely with operations project managers, finance, and procurement to ensure project funding is available, approved, and processed systemically for material purchasing.Produce recurring reports on GSC capital funding and distribute them to senior leadership.Work with finance and project managers to create and communicate capital budget status, forecasts, and quarterly outlooks.You will need to have:
Bachelor's degree and relevant suitable experience.Working knowledge of finance, accounting, and both vendor and contract management.Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Excel or Google Sheets.Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Ambitious and proactive individual who appreciates timely, accurate data and can efficiently prioritize tasks while focusing on quality results.Strong communication skills, ability to comfortably engage with senior leadership and external partners.Experience with online platforms or software for vendor, contract, or procurement management.Experience in database query language such as SQL, data analytics, data mining.Experience in project management and developing process improvement initiatives.Experience in logistics or supply chain management.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
