Clinical Nurse Manager 1 - Interventional Cardiology Full-time (37.5 hours per week) | Permanent | Candidate Criteria: Qualifications Registered nurse on the active Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Confirm annual registration with NMBI Postgraduate qualification in Cardiovascular Nursing, Interventional Cardiology, or related field (Desirable) Management Qualification (Desirable) Experience Must have 3 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting, in the last 5 years.
With at least 2 of those years being within the specialty of Cardiology.
Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Experience with an Electronic Health Record (Desirable) Preceptorship experience (Desirable) The Purpose of This Role: The Clinical Nurse Manager I (CNM I) will lead a team of nursing professionals in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing interventional cardiology procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and Electrical Physiology (EP) procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Responsibility for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care for patients according to BSHS standards in conjunction with the CNMII.
Ensure the highest standards of patient care are delivered safely and effectively.
Oversee the operational and clinical activities within the designated area(s), ensuring smooth workflows.
Support and mentor nursing staff through in-service training and professional development.
Coordinate the orientation of new staff and provide guidance to student nurses.
Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in surgical care.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
