Care Worker Role

We are recruiting a Care Worker to join our team at the Birr Day Centre in Co Offaly. This is a permanent contract working 4 hours a week.

As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care to people with dementia in our day centre. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently.

Requirements
  • Previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activities with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities
  • FETAC level 5 qualification (desirable)
  • Confidence in using IT/email (desirable)

You must adhere to all National Guidelines laid out in QSPD guidance and be COVID-aware. Training in PPE/infection control and other relevant areas will be provided prior to entering client homes.
