The Role:
This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role, responsible for managing a team of five engineering managers and a department of 90+ engineers.
You will play a crucial role in shaping their technology landscape, driving process improvements, and enhancing the velocity of software development.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will collaborate with senior executives to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
Your expertise in SaaS B2B environments, deep software development knowledge, and ability to lead and mentor engineering leaders will be instrumental in scaling their operations and delivering best-in-class solutions.
Key Responsibilities: People Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineering managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Technical Strategy & Execution: Define and implement best practices in software development, architecture, and DevOps to enhance performance, scalability, and security.Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Ensure all software development processes adhere to industry regulations and security standards.Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the CTO and other senior executives to align engineering initiatives with business goals.Process Optimization: Drive efficiency and innovation through agile methodologies, automation, and best-in-class software engineering practices.Technology Leadership: Provide technical mentorship and architectural guidance, particularly in .Net and Azure, ensuring our SaaS platform remains cutting-edge and scalable.Talent Development & Hiring: Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent to support the company's growth.Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Software Development Director leading managers of managers in a SaaS B2B environment.Strong background in software engineering, enterprise architecture, and cloud technologies (ideally .Net/Azure).Demonstrated success in driving process and technology transformations to improve software delivery.Experience working in a highly regulated industry, ensuring compliance with security and industry standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Passion for developing high-performing engineering teams and driving a culture of technical excellence.Salary: €140000 – Negotiable + Benefits
This role will require travel to Limerick once or twice per week.
