Senior Production Manager - County Cork, Ireland

Job Reference: AM18266

Responsible for manufacturing products at optimum quality, delivery, cost and customer satisfaction in accordance with defined schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of Production Leads, Team Leaders and Production Operators to manufacture products at optimum cost, quality, customer satisfaction and delivery in accordance with defined schedule.
  2. Establish standards of performance and monitor same against pre-determined standards.
  3. Plan production, layout product lines and determine staffing levels for proper operation.
  4. Provide positive leadership and interpret company policy and management directives for Production Personnel.
  5. Provide accurate and timely information to management as directed by ongoing business needs.
  6. Maintain high employee morale and reduce absenteeism and attrition levels.
  7. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and Security Procedures and maintain sound disciplinary procedures.
  8. Implement continuous improvement in best practice manufacturing.
  9. Develop and manage training programs for Manufacturing Operatives and ensure they are trained to optimum standards.
  10. Perform regular appraisals of all Production employees and manage under-performers.
  11. Train Production Team Leaders in team and continuous improvement skills.
  12. Audit Quality and Health & Safety processes to ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulatory requirements and legislation.
Requirements:
  1. At least 8 years' experience in supervising large numbers of personnel, preferably in a world class manufacturing environment.
  2. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
