Director of Nursing

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee the Clinical division and ensure the delivery of timely, appropriate, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead subordinate nursing staff in delivering exceptional care to clients and provide quality support to medical staff.

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide direct supervision of nursing staff, monitor completion of assignments, and intervene to improve efficiency.
  • Nursing Staff Management: Interview, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate competency for agency nursing staff.
  • Patient Care: Supervise care provided by nursing staff (RNs and LPNs) to ensure conformance with regulations, current competency, and best practice standards.
  • Mentorship and Training: Instruct and evaluate competency of nursing staff and Health Care Coordinators in medication administration.
  • Policy Development: Create new policies and update existing ones to enhance patient care levels.
  • Communication: Interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitor implementation.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • BLS Certification.
  • Nursing Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum Five (5) years supervisory nursing experience, including Three (3) years in hospital, substance use or other behavior healthcare organization settings.
  • Skills: Strong time management, writing, and communication skills, as well as computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with diverse teams.
