Position: Solutions Architect 12-Month Rolling ContractLocation: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid on-site one day per week, typically Mondays) Engagement Type: B2B / Freelance Contract Duration: Initial 12-month rolling engagement Role Overview We are recruiting on behalf of our client a leading Irish enterprise undergoing a large-scale digital and technology transformation for an experienced Solutions Architect to join their architecture team on a long-term rolling contract. This is a business-facing architecture role, combining strategic design with practical delivery oversight. The selected professional will act as the bridge between business objectives and technology execution, shaping scalable, reliable, and forward-looking solutions across an expanding portfolio of systems and platforms. Youll be part of a collaborative and growing architecture function, working alongside senior architects and engineering teams to define solutions that support both short-term delivery goals and strategic transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business, product, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, scalable, and maintainable solution designs. Work within Scaled Agile delivery squads, balancing short-term delivery milestones (3-month plans) with long-term architectural strategy (6-month roadmap). Conduct architecture reviews to ensure technical consistency and compatibility across enterprise systems including Salesforce, SAP, mobile applications (iOS/Android), web platforms, and AWS environments. Design and advocate for event-driven architectures, leveraging technologies such as Kafka to enable real-time data exchange and system integration. Define integration patterns and oversee API design to ensure interoperability and resilience across diverse platforms. Provide hands-on architectural guidance to delivery teams, ensuring that implementation aligns with design principles and performance expectations. Present complex solutions clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing decision-making at multiple levels. Support continuous improvement within the architecture function, promoting best practices, documentation, and design governance. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Solutions Architect within a large-scale, enterprise-level environment. Strong technical understanding of cloud architecture (AWS preferred), event-driven systems, and integration frameworks. Demonstrated experience designing scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions across multiple systems. Hands-on familiarity with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, or mobile/web platforms. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of bridging business needs and technical execution. Experience working within Agile or Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery models. A collaborative, pragmatic, and delivery-focused approach, with the ability to adapt designs to real-world constraints. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience designing solutions in event-driven ecosystems using Kafka or similar technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and microservices architectures. AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional) is an advantage.
