About the Role Skillsource is partnering with a leading organisation in the Irish energy supply sector to recruit an IT Support Analyst. Our client has been a key player in the Irish energy market providing customers with innovative ways to understand and manage energy consumption through technology-driven solutions. They supply electricity and related services to both residential and commercial customers and have a growing portfolio that includes EV charging, LED lighting, and smart metering systems. As part of an ambitious expansion plan, they are now seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst to join their IT team. This role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems that support a growing customer base and an evolving digital infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Provide first and second-level support for core business applications, servers, hardware, and databases. Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, escalating where necessary. Manage system configuration, updates, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Monitor system health, gather performance statistics, and address reported errors or alarms. Document processes and provide user training as required. Support IT projects by assisting with testing, implementation, and integration of new applications. Apply best practices for scalability, security, and system reliability. Skills and Experience Essential: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 3 - 4 years experience in IT support or a similar technical role. Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network environments. Familiarity with SQL-based systems and underlying databases. Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining applications and systems. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Desirable: Knowledge of scripting or programming (advantageous but not essential). Experience in the energy, utilities, or technology sectors. Interest in working with innovative solutions such as smart metering, EV charging, or digital integrations.
