Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Managing Scientist for our Biocides Team in our Harrogate (UK), Nottingham (UK), London (UK), Edinburgh (UK), Mannheim (Germany) or Basel (Switzerland) offices.
Remote working will also be considered.
In this role you will work as part of a team providing regulatory leadership and technical expertise in Biocides Regulatory Affairs.
Development and implementation of regulatory strategy for the approval of new and existing active substances at Community level and the authorisation of biocide products on a national, EU and global basis.
Project management of complex multi-disciplinary regulatory projects and advising colleagues and clients with respect to current and developing regulatory processes and legislation, in addition to contributing to the management and development of the Biocides Regulatory Team and the development of new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for Conducting consultancy work in the Biocides sector, including:Supporting active substances and products in a regulatory settingPreparing technical reports and dossiersManaging the project work programmes, including budget, communication, QA and deliveryRepresenting clients at meetings with regulatory authorities or within industry consortiaDeveloping and implementing strategies for EU and global regulatory authorisationsProviding strategic regulatory adviceDevelopment and management of staff where the opportunity arisesContributing to the expansion of the Biocides business, includingBusiness development initiativesPromoting activities to attract new business opportunitiesAssisting with maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients You will have the following skills and qualifications BSc in a scientific disciplineRecognised as an expert in the biocides industryDesirable SkillsBuilds and manages relationships with clients effectivelyExcellent project management and communication skillsSelf-starter who applies innovative approaches when problem solvingSought out for technical / regulatory knowledgeKeeps up to date with developments in field and applies this through strategic thinkingStrong networking and interpersonal skillsHas a positive 'can-do' attitudeEnergetic and committed personLeads by example
