Choral Supervisor

CHORISTER SUPERVISOR Saint Patrick's Cathedral has been at the centre of our history and culture for over 800 years.
Dating from the 13th Century and built in honour of Irelands patron saint, Saint Patricks is the national Cathedral of the Church of Ireland and is also one of Irelands most popular tourist attractions.
With over 600,000 visitors in 2024, it is the third most visited admission-charging tourist attraction in Dublin city.
We now wish to recruit a Chorister Supervisorto join our music department.
Reporting to the Cathedrals Master of the Music, Chorister Supervisors play a key role in ensuring that the choristers who perform at various services in the Cathedral are cared for in line with the Cathedrals Child Safeguarding policy.
These are key roles and hours are flexible.
Please note Garda Vetting and Child Safety clearance and training is an essential part of our recruiting and onboarding process.
MAIN DUTIES To supervise the choristers under the direction of The Master of the Music To assist with homework when necessary.
To supervise choristers during breaks and during teas.
To supervise choristers in the playground or other locations during singing breaks.
To supervise choristers when moving to the Cathedral for services and rehearsals and to remain with them until the choristers have been collected by their parents/guardians unless an alternative arrangement has been made with the Master of the Music.
To be flexible with time in case of performances and services out with the normal timetable.
Hours initially are Mon- Fri 8.25am 9.40am (there is a minimum call out fee of 2 hours pay) Overseas travel assisting as a supervisor may be required from time to time (travel expenses covered) To apply, please send your CV with covering letter to before close of business on Friday 1st September 2025.
