Part time- Health Care assistant hrs per week)Place: Nursing Home in Naas, Co.
KildareQualification requirement: Must complete a QQI Fetac- Level-5Core role of Health Care assistant: Assists with residents activities and care as assigned by the Nurse.
Provides personal hygiene: Bathing, performs oral care, provides skin care, assists with elimination, cares for the incontinent and with a urinary catheter.
Assists with feeding.
Ambulates, positions and turns residents, and cares with altered mobility.
Assists resident with specific safety precautions, collects, reports and documents data related to patient needs.
Maintains privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
Provides and maintains a clean, safe environment, performs and assists others to perform proper aseptic technique, isolation procedures and infection control measures.
Assist residents with their day to day activity Performs or assists others to perform proper aseptic techniques, isolation procedures and infection control measures.
Adheres to internal controls established for the department.
Performs related duties as required.
The timely identification and communication of any issues to the MDT.
Documentation and reporting.Skills that are required:A high degree of empathy and sensitivity, not to mention patience.A caring and kind nature.TeamworkingA friendly and cheerful disposition.The ability to follow complex procedures and instructions.A desire to use your initiative, but also to work in a team.Excellent observational and communication skills.Strong time management and organisational skills.Comply with Guidance and regulatory requirement
