Opportunity to join the ACS Investment Team as Associate – Investments.
A successful candidate will immediately be given significant responsibility in the investment underwriting process as a key member of the team.
Central to the role will be a candidate's ability to lead and manage investment opportunities through the due diligence process, including but not limited to completing a commercial review of underlying leases, identifying any discrepancies or issues from the initial valuation, supporting commercial/legal negotiations, reviewing lessee financials/creditworthiness, updating financial models, finalizing investment underwriting recommendations, and supporting the asset closing process.
A successful candidate will be someone who can learn the firm's investment strategy quickly and provide critical insights based on their detailed financial analysis and diligence of a given investment opportunity.
Responsibilities
Manage assets through the firm's due diligence process for all awarded on-lease acquisitions, sale-leasebacks, and naked aircraft acquired for lease placements.
Work closely with the Technical Team to understand the technical considerations around each aircraft and their implications on the asset underwriting.
Promptly raise any issues discovered during the due diligence process and support the Commercial Team as needed in any subsequent negotiations.
Synthesize all necessary legal, jurisdictional, technical, and lessee credit diligence into an investment recommendation to senior management.
Review and confirm that all required information and concessions are clearly documented in the investment materials and base case model for the Investment Committee's approval.
Qualifications
2-5 years' experience in aircraft leasing and investing strongly preferred.
Candidates with investment banking, equity research, or private equity experience will be considered.
Bachelor's degreein finance, economics, engineering, or relatedfield.
Strong understanding of commercial, maintenance, technical, and legal concepts in aircraft leases.
Ability to quickly review and dissect financial models to determine key value drivers in a deal and focus points for diligence.
Ability to synthesize diligence findings across maintenance, technical, credit and legal into financial recommendations and give clear direction to the analyst team on all associated modeling and analysis.
Prior experience preparing and presenting investment committee memos for investment committee approval.
Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and deep sense of accountability.
Advanced Excel skills a must with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
