FINANCE ANALYST - CONTRACT My client, a high profile, national utility provider, seeks to hire a Financial Analyst initially on a 9-month contract via Cpl. Based in Co.
Mayo, reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing financial oversight, analysis, and support for both operational and capital projects.
This role suits a detail-driven finance professional with strong analytical skills, with at least three years relevant experience (ideally in utilities or infrastructure), and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders to drive performance and compliance.
This is an exceptionally impression role for someone based in Co.
Mayo or a commutable distance with the commensurate experience as outlined in the brief below.
RESPONSIBILITIES Provide financial support to management, ensuring effective oversight of capital and operational expenditure.
Support project finance strategies across operational and capital costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Deliver insightful analysis to aid business decision-making and improve financial performance.
Collaborate with operational and capital teams to evaluate investment opportunities.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for both short- and long-term planning.
Maintain and analyse cost files, providing year-on-year comparisons to identify efficiency opportunities.
Work with stakeholders to resolve financial risks and implement effective controls.
Prepare cost data for performance reporting and assist with Power BI model updates.
Stay updated with best practices and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Support transformation initiatives and organisation-wide objectives.
REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 3 years experience in finance, preferably within utilities, infrastructure, or similar sectors.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
Proven ability to work to high professional standards and deliver results in a team environment.
Experience in change management, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution.
Adaptability to changing priorities in line with business needs.
A proactive mindset, seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
