Key Areas of Responsibility Driving wedding business through proactive and reactive sales Coordinating all weddings from initial enquiry to successful event execution Delivering exceptional customer service to couples at every stage of the process Maximising revenue through upselling products and services Collaborating with the hotel sales team to achieve business targets Job Purpose The Wedding Coordinator is responsible for managing and delivering exceptional weddings at Glasson Lakehouse, ensuring each couple's vision is brought to life with precision and care.
From first enquiry to the final farewell, this role ensures every detail is planned, communicated, and executed to the highest standard.
In addition to managing the operational elements of weddings, the Wedding Coordinator plays a key role in driving wedding sales, building relationships with potential couples, and representing Glasson Lakehouse at promotional events.
Full on-site training will be provided for the right candidate with a passion for weddings and exceptional guest service.
Role Responsibilities Wedding Sales & Enquiries Respond promptly and professionally to all wedding enquiries, logging all activity in the booking system Drive sales through proactive follow-ups, show-arounds, and promotional activities Attend and represent Glasson Lakehouse at workshops, exhibitions, and events to generate leads Planning & Coordination Manage all wedding bookings from enquiry through to execution Conduct detailed planning meetings with couples, confirming all requirements and expectations Arrange and host wedding and menu tastings from start to finish Prepare and update all menus, floor plans, and table plans as required Revenue Maximisation Identify and upsell additional services, products, and packages to increase event revenue Work in conjunction with the hotel sales team to meet and exceed sales targets Event Delivery & Handover Meet and greet couples during the event phase and oversee smooth handover to the operations team Ensure all event details are communicated clearly to the operations team for flawless execution Administration & Reporting Prepare contracts, process deposits, and manage billing for all weddings Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all bookings, enquiries, and availability Provide regular reporting as required by management Preferred Experience & Skills Previous experience in wedding or event coordination preferred (hospitality experience advantageous) Strong sales skills with the ability to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings Excellent organisational and time management abilities Professional communication and interpersonal skills Proactive approach with the ability to multitask under pressure Attention to detail and a passion for delivering memorable experiences Benefits:Global discounted staff room rates across the group50% off Food and 25% Beverage across the groupAccrued Annual Leave with ServiceFriends and Family discountGym Membership Discounts*Continual training and developmentCareer progression within the GroupGratuities *Meals on shiftBike to work schemeTaxsaver for travelRefer a friend schemeWellness at work events and access to wellness platformEmployment Assistance ProgrammeGroup discounts for cinema tickets, shopping deals etcTeam appreciation daysService recognitionRegular fun-filled activities and gatherings for all teams across the group*Applicable to certain positionsThe Dean Group owns and operates a number of hotel across Ireland, in certain instances we may feel your skills and experience may suit another role we have available.
